From: "What's Happening 'Down Under'?"
by Peter Mar, Director-at-Large, NANMT Australia

"Although NANMT Australia has been in existence for over a year, the association has a lot to put into place before it is operating in top gear. Like other places, our challenge includes a lack of finances and an acute shortage of willing helpers. However, sound foundations have been laid and the future is very promising. Some milestones achieved to date are a permanent location for the association.

Meetings are held regularly each month at headquarters followed by generous cups of tea or coffee provided by Eric Wong, husband of Erma, our President.

NANMT Australia was invited and took part in a very successful Natural Therapies Fair. Our stand was well patronized. We achieved a lot of publicity and, hopeful, quite a few members. Neck and shoulder massages were offered for a $5 donation. Money raised went towards printing business cards.

All existing members were issued a stack of personalized business cards for free. The cards give details of the NANMTA as well as the individual member. These cards should advertise our association widely."

"An Australian edition of Nurse's Touch will be published in the very near future. Initially we will be short on local material and will be drawing heavily on the Nurse's Touch for both material and encouragement. When published, copies will be forwarded to NANMT.

We continue to be grateful for the support, generosity, and helping hand extended by NANMT and its various board members."
