Good morning to all! This past year has been extremely busy for NANMT. First and foremost, the rock and heart of NANMT, Barb Nichols, has given us her notice to retire. This is a bittersweet decision for all of us - we are glad to hear that she is taking care of herself but we will desperately miss her (as all who have called in to NANMT will agree). We have a new management company who shares our goals for NANMT growth. Each board member has stepped up to the plate to offer his/her assistance in this endeavor. The foundation has been cemented and the plans from each board member comes through. First and foremost, Deb Vierling, our treasurer, has come to NANMT with a background in accounting and has worked diligently to bring our records up to date. Andy has continued to spend hours to keep our website informed of the recent happenings. I have met with AMTA president, MK Brennan, whom I have personally known for a few years, and we talked about how our organizations can work together for the common goals. She also gave me some helpful ideas to educate the public on NANMT. The most important thing we can do is to attend every large conference and inform members of NANMT and our goal to work together to raise awareness of the professionalism of massage therapy.
Please help us in this goal. We, and the entire population, will benefit from this.
